Location: Bailey House, Dupont Ave S between 24th & 25th St.
Agenda:
- Welcome and introduction to the format of the event, snacks
- Participants write questions on scraps of paper;
- We draw one question at random and read it aloud to the group;
- We draw a three-card layout
- A brief explanation of the cards and their role in the reading is given
- Three attendees volunteer to take on the roles to start with. They gather any needed props and begin improvising.
- Any participant may 'tap in' to any role as they feel called to do so
- Participants may also ring a bell which indicates that the roles being played should rotate
- When the scene comes to an evident conclusion, participants discuss the reading, and if desired, the individual who wrote the question talks about what it meant to them
- If it seems appropriate, the order of the layout is switched (i.e. to what we WISH it would have been), and a new scene acted out
- This process repeats as many times as participants wish!
- Closing & planning for future events
